Grant used to do school musicals as a child but grew up to be your typical shy computer-cartoons-anime-video games nerd kid. A BS Computer Science graduate who works as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, Grant rediscovered his love for theater after going to Tokyo Disneyland and also from discovering Cebu’s musical theatre scene right before the 2020 pandemic, when he started taking voice, theater, and hip-hop dance classes.
Grant started his theatre journey with plays such as “Leave the Drama on Stage” as Michael in 2022, and “The Normal Heart” as Bruce Niles in 2023. He made his musical theatre debut in 2024 with 2TinCans’ “Seussical” as a Wickersham Brother and "Frankie Builds Androids" as Finn. The same year, he also landed his first lead role in a musical as Benny in “In The Heights”.
Off the stage, Grant has also done voice acting (a childhood dream!) including Boysen's Color Trend Advertisement "Awakening" as Boyet. He's done an ad shoot with Keralty Prime Clinic at Oakridge. He's also done voiceover, hosting, playwriting, and dance shows.
Fun Fact: Grant aced the interview for his current job by quoting SpongeBob's Patrick SmartPants. He believes that “A creative outlet provides a spiritual release and helps facilitate a healthy mental balance.”
